i found the back water paddle co. online...
i thought the idea was great! i have been using a 2' skulling paddle to scoot around the flats in my kayaks for years ... i have never seen this small idea expanded upon... back water paddle co. did just that... they make a small hand paddle that has a great shape for scooting around the saltwater flats in search of redfish, black drum, snook etc... i was so pumped about the product that i did a little spot light on the paddles on my fishing show 30milesOUT.... in this review episode you will see me using the back water paddles for scooting around while bass fishing! in this bass fishing situation it kind of became my motor guide trolling motor for my ocean kayak scupper... the jagged edge of the paddle i used to push off of the bank or off of trees etc... as for the hook cut into the paddle, killer idea! super handy for grabbing onto a dock or tree and pulling yourself toward it... i have used the back water paddle hook for grabbing floating items i have dropped into the water.... check out what the guys over at back water paddle co. are doing out there in rockledge flordia! cool stuff...
